VuHaber privacy policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
In short
VuHaber does not read your browsing history, does not see the pages you visit and shows no ads. News filtering runs entirely on your computer.
Without an account
The extension downloads the news list from haber.vumatech.net. No information identifying you is sent with this request. Your topics, lists, read and saved stories are kept only in your browser’s local storage.
If you sign in with Google
Only your email address, name and profile picture are received from Google. The backup contains your topics, never-show list, switched-off sources, display settings, word statistics learned from your marks and your saved stories. This data is stored in our database on Cloudflare and used only to return your backup to you. No other data in your Google account is accessed.
Sharing
Your data is never sold, rented, used for advertising or profiling, or shared with third parties.
Deletion
The "Delete account" button in Settings > Account permanently deletes your account and backup. Signing out ends the session on this computer only. Uninstalling the extension lets the browser remove its local data.
Permissions
Storage (settings and the news list), alarms (regular refresh), notifications (new stories in important topics), identity (the Google sign-in window), and access to haber.vumatech.net only. The extension accesses no other website.
